Vancouver, British Columbia - Canadian pyrolysis technology supplier Klean Industries has retracted statements about its involvement in a UK waste tire project.
The move, said Klean, follows discussions with stakeholders in the planned scheme to establish an end-of-life tire (ELT) processing facility in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
To be constructed by Fluid Ice FO Ltd and ELT Recovery Ltd, the unit is to have capacity to process 25 kilotonnes per annum of ELTs into fuel oil and recovered carbon black.
In a recent update, however, Klean said it had been informed that the facility will not use its patented (EP4162010) carbon resource recovery technology.
As a result, Klean said it had removed previous posts and press releases concerning its role in the eastern England project.
Klean's patented technology is currently being used by ReOil at a facility in Krakow, Poland, the Canadian firm noted in its statement.
