Production and retail activities “severely disrupted” as efforts to recover from 2 Sept incident continue...
Coventry, UK – Production and commercial operations at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) are still down almost two weeks after the UK vehicle maker was hit by a cyber attack.
In a 10 Sept update, JLR said it had “been working around the clock, alongside third?party cybersecurity specialists, to restart our global applications in a controlled and safe manner.”
“As a result of our ongoing investigation, we now believe that some data has been affected and we are informing the relevant regulators,” it added.
On 2 Sept, JLR reported that it had been impacted by a cyber incident and had immediately and “proactively” shut down its systems to mitigate its impact.
Admitting that retail and production activities have been “severely disrupted,” JLR said it was working “at pace to restart its global applications in a controlled manner.”
