Initiative builds on pilot project last year, aims to restore wildlife habitats
Inner Mongolia, China – Michelin has launched a 'forest guardianship' plan in Arxan, Inner Mongolia, in collaboration with the China Green Foundation, the French group announced 9 Sept.
The initiative builds on a pilot programme last year, which saw over 20,000 trees planted in the region, said a social media post by Michelin.
The plan aims to expand forest conservation and restoration efforts while embedding green practices into everyday travel and life.
In its 2025 project, Michelin said it will continue to restore wildlife habitats while placing greater focus on integrating sustainable practices into industry and public activities.
These will include promoting low-carbon and safe driving through national logistics partners and truck drivers, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing emissions across the transport sector.
