New facility signals return of Tuf Treads following a halt in production in 2022
Carmarthenshire, Wales – Marangoni has marked the official opening of a new factory for its long-term partner Tuf Treads Ltd in south Wales.
The 22,000-sq-ft facility is a purpose-built production site, representing what the Italian group described as a “bold step forward” for Tuf Treads.
In a recent press release Marangoni said Tuf Treads has been a “key partner within our international network” and has shown “commitment to quality and innovation.”
The company said the new site would provide a foundation for future growth.
Founded in 1983, Tuf Treads has served as Marangoni’s key UK retreading partner, operating within its Ringtread cold-retreading system network.
The company processes precured Ringtread rings into retreaded truck tires for regional fleets – using Marangoni’s technology and compounds.
Tuf Treads halted its manufacturing operations in 2022, and the new site signals its strategic return supported by Marangoni production lines.
