European Chemicals Agency aims to complete evaluation of proposed EU-wide restriction by end of 2026
Helsinki – The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published a note updating its assessment of the proposed EU-wide restrictions on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under the EU’s chemicals regulation REACH.
In a 27 Aug statement, ECHA said it now expects to complete its scientific review of the proposal by the end of 2026.
The new timeline follows the publication of the updated restriction proposal earlier this month (ERJ report).
