Arnhem, The Netherlands – Teijin Aramid has confirmed that operations have resumed at its production facility in Delfzijl, The Netherlands, following a fire incident 6 Aug.
The company is now focusing on “operations ramp up in a safe, controlled, and reliable manner,” said Teijin Aramid 20 Aug.
While the majority of the Delfzijl site is back online, Teijin Aramid stressed that its Dutch spinning facility in Emmen remained “fully operational” throughout the period.
According to its website, several of Teijin Aramid factories are located in Delfzijl, including a PPD and TDC monomer factory, and a polymerisation factory where it produces polymer powder, the raw material for its factory in Emmen.
The Emmen site is the company’s spinning factory where its Twaron yarn is spun for various applications, including tire reinforcement.
Teijin Aramid said that it is currently implementing “robust on-site redundancy planning,” but reassured that it will continue to meet market demand “without disruption.”
