Lichuang Mould expands to Southeast Asia to meet rising demand for “high-precision, high-performance” tire moulds
Shanghai, China – Shandong Lichuang Mould Co. Ltd. has started construction on a new “intelligent and modern” manufacturing base in Thailand as part of its international expansion.
The move follows what the company described as “explosive growth” in the new energy vehicle sector and the resulting ‘urgent demand’ for “high-precision, high-performance” tire moulds.
In a 19 Aug social media post, Lichuang said it first entered the Southeast Asian market in 2020 and ‘sees Thailand as a strategic hub with access to neighbouring countries’.
The factory, it noted, will tap ‘digital transformation to shorten delivery cycles of high-end moulds and support the regional automotive industry.’
The company said the site will act as an accelerator for “made in China for Southeast Asia” within the new energy vehicle industry.
The social media post did not provide further details about the investment size, capacity or the completion time of the project.
