Dyrhoff supplies inflatable rubber dams and spillway gates for flood control and water management
London – Dyrhoff, a UK supplier of water-control gates, has won a contract to supply two pneumatically operated spillway gates for a flood protection project in North Dakota, US.
The deal was backed by a $475,000 financing facility guaranteed by UK Export Finance (UKEF), helping the Folkestone-based Dyrhoff meet the terms required to secure the contract.
Dyrhoff designs and supplies inflatable rubber dams and spillway gates used for flood control and water regulation.
The company has worked on over 150 overseas projects in 33 countries, including the US, Canada, Italy and Turkey.
Dyrhoff described the US contract as “one of its largest to date,” with the company now planning to expand its workforce at its Kent manufacturing site.
“This project has set us up to build momentum in key markets like the US,” said Dyrhoff director Don Mason.
“The UKEF support enabled us to pursue this significant opportunity despite economic uncertainty.”
Under the contract, Dyrhoff will work with UK and international partners to supply key components, which will be assembled at the project location.
