Move aimed at strengthening commercial strategy and growth in key markets
Nokia, Finland – Nokian Tyres has announced several management changes, effective 1 Sept, aimed at strengthening its commercial strategy and growth efforts in key markets.
Christopher Ostrander will join the company’s management team as SVP for passenger car tires in North America, said Nokian 18 July.
According to Nokian, Ostrander has “extensive experience and deep knowledge of the tire industry in the North American market.”
“[He] will strongly support our future expansion in this strategic growth area, helping us secure our premium positioning and further strengthening our product and go-to-market strategy,” said president and CEO Paolo Pompei.
Ostrander, who has served on Nokian’s board since 2021 and chaired its investment committee since 2024, will step down from both roles.
He replaces Lauri Halme, who becomes SVP of Vianor and remains part of the management team.
Additionally, Tron Gulbrandsen has been promoted to SVP for passenger car tires in the Nordics, also joining the top executive group.
“These changes reflect our enhanced commercial focus,” said Pompei commenting on the reshuffle.
