Country exports 3.5 billion units of new tires over the first six months of 2025
Beijing – China exported nearly 3.5 billion units of new pneumatic rubber tires during the first six months of 2025, up 5.5% year-on-year, according to official data released by China Customs on 18 July.
Over the January–June period, total exports of rubber tires reached 471 kilotonnes, an increase of 4.5% from the same period in 2024. Export value rose 4.9% year-on-year to Yuan 83.45 billion (€10.5 billion).
Exports of new pneumatic rubber tires alone accounted for 453 kilotonnes of the total volume, up 4.2% year-on-year. The value of these shipments rose 4.6% to Yuan 80.09 billion.
In June, China exported 82 kilotonnes of rubber tires, down 6.9% year-on-year. The monthly export value declined 6.7% to Yuan 14.4 billion.
New pneumatic tire shipments for the month fell 7.3% to 79 kilotonnes, with value also down 7.3% at Yuan13.8 billion. By unit count, June exports dropped 7.3% to 60.31 million tires.
