Bjorn Thorsen named pan-European distributor for Celanese TPEs

Copenhagen – Bjorn Thorsen has been appointed distributor for Celanese’s thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) across Europe, with the agreement effective from the beginning of 2025.

The agreement covers distribution of Celanese’s range of TPE materials in Europe, including Santoprene TPV, Hytrel TPC, Bexloy TPC, Laprene TPS, and Ateva G EVA (medical grades), said Bjorn Thorsen in a recent statement.

The portfolio includes a broad variety of products designed for use in industries such as automotive, industrial, building and construction, consumer and medical applications.

The Danish distributor said the deal will expands its elastomer portfolio in Europe to cover a range of elastomers, including TPOs, TPEs, TPVs, TPUs, TPCs, and SBC solutions.

According to Celanese, Santoprene TPV is widely used for automotive sealing and under-the-hood components; while Hytrel TPC is used for “flexible, resilient parts.”
