Sri Trang signs rubber research and training agreement in Thailand

Partnership to develop products, reduce waste, and improve skills
Bangkok – Sri Trang Agro-Industry has signed an agreement with Thailand’s National Research Council to support research, technology adoption and training in the rubber industry.
The signing took place in Bangkok in the presence of Sri Trang executives and research council representatives, said an 18 June release by the Thai rubber major.
According to Sri Trang, the collaboration aims to integrate public and private resources to improve product development, resource management, and environmental practices.
Key areas include managing sludge waste from latex production and developing new latex coagulation processes to reduce sulfuric acid use.
The agreement also covers training programmes to upskill employees and technical consultation on rubber-related technologies.
Sri Trang said the partnership will help improve production efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of Thailand’s rubber sector.
