Initiative to help tire dealers align with Pirelli's environmental, social and governance goals, obtain certification by TÜV Italy
Milan – Pirelli has launched an initiative to help tire dealers align with the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals and obtain a new certification validated by TÜV Italy.
The “sustainability journey programme” includes training, assessment and support for points of sale aiming to meet defined ESG criteria.
These cover “a selection of ESG issues, with particular attention to environmental protection and management of energy resources, as well as training, IT security and corruption prevention,” Pirelli said 19 June.
Dealers that complete the process will be awarded a "Pirelli certification" issued by TÜV SÜD.
The programme is open to all sales outlets and starts with a questionnaire-based assessment, followed by improvement steps based on a guidebook of best practices.
The company said the scheme could help dealers reduce risks, improve workplace quality, and strengthen appeal to both staff and consumers.
“With this initiative [Pirelli] wants to provide concrete support to its partners as they face the challenges of the future, together building an increasingly responsible way of working," said Matteo Battaini, head of sustainability and future mobility.
