New facility marks company’s first step in overseas expansion
Shanghai, China - Chinese rubber additives manufacturer Shandong Cabot Chemical has launched its first overseas manufacturing project in Cambodia, the company has announced.
In a 21 May statement, the company said it has officially registered its Cambodian production facility with the local investment authorities.
The project, located in the Snoul district of Kratie province, is currently in the equipment installation and commissioning phase.
According to the company, some products have already entered production.
Founded in March 2017, Shandong Cabot Chemical is based in Shandong Province’s Shanxian Chemical Industrial Park and produces rubber additive using its homegrown "advanced technology."
Its main products include rubber mixing release agents, rubber processing aids, tire vulcanisation release agents, vulcanisation bladders, and other functional rubber additives.
The Cambodia project is expected to enhance the company’s global footprint and international competitiveness.
Shandong Cabot said the move marks “a new chapter” in its overseas development.
