“Clear-cutting work” begins on the site of new facility in Perl-Besch, Saarland
Dillingen, Germany – Waste tire pyrolysis company Pyrum Innovations AG is making “good progress” with its rollout plan, as it begins initial works on the site of its second German facility.
The company started “first work” on the new location in Perl-Besch, near the Luxembourg border, in late February, weeks after the local council had approved the project.
“With the clearing work starting as planned, the property is now being prepared for further construction work,” Pyrum said in a 28 Feb statement.
“We are continuing to work hard on our rollout plan and have managed to start work on the new location in just three months,” said CEO Pascal Klein.
The further approval process with the authorities, Klein went on to say, is “in full swing”, ahead of construction work on the facility.
Pyrum intends to build its second pyrolysis plant in Saarland in Perl-Besch by the end of 2025, based on the model of its flagship plant in Dillingen/Saar.
The unit will have a capacity to process 20 kilotonnes per annum of end-of-life tires, doubling Pyrum’s current nameplate capacity.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2024.
