German distributor signs agreements with Spanish manufacturer Condensia and chemicals supplier WeylChem
Hamburg, Germany - Chemical distributor Nordmann has announced two new partnerships in Europe to advance its portfolio of offerings in the region.
The German distributor has entered into an agreement with Spanish manufacturer of speciality esters, polyesters and polyester polyols Condensia for the distribution of its products across several European countries.
Nordmann will distribute Condensia’s speciality esters and additives for rubber and adhesives application throughout Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, the Nordic countries, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, the company added.
Furthermore, the company will distribute the materials for plastics application in Germany and France, Nordmann announced 5 Feb.
Condensia products are offered under the brand names Glyplast and Glypol.
The company’s full portfolio includes adipic acid esters - monomer and polymer plasticisers – which are “very effective” in improving the low-temperature flexibility of polar rubbers and thermoplastics.
Condensia exports 70% of its products to countries outside Spain.
In a separate statement 7 Feb, Nordmann said it had started a new partnership with Frankfurt, Germany-based fine chemicals producer, WeylChem Group.
The agreement covers the distribution and supply WeylChem’s Velvetol-branded bio-based polyols in the DACH (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) region.
The "high-performance PO3G products" allow manufacturers to "completely replace" petroleum-based polyols in products such as polyurethane systems.
Velvetol is produced by Allessa GmbH, a member of the WeylChem Group of Companies.
Made from propanediol based on renewable feedstocks, the polymer is claimed to have 50% lower carbon footprint compared to its petrochemical-based counterparts.
The polyols are widely used in polyurethane systems, thermoplastic polyurethanes, dispersions, adhesives and sealants.
Applications include moulded components of mining and industrial goods, breathable apparel, and automotive industries.
