Pirelli: Bai Xinoing resigns from board of directors

Milan, Italy – Pirelli & C. SpA has announced that Bai Xinping on 14 Feb formally communicated his resignation from his role as a director of the company to take up new professional responsibilities within parent group Sinochem.

The resignation will take effect with the next board meeting, scheduled for 22 Feb, when executives will also be called on to agree the ‘cooptation’ of a new director.

To date, added Prelli, Bai Xinping holds the role of non-executive director and does not possess the requisites to qualify as ‘independent’ in accordance with established codes.

In its statement, Pirelli expressed “sincere thanks to Mr Bai Xinping for the work performed over the seven years of his mandate.”
