Company expanding production plant in western state of Gujarat
Mumbai, India – Indian speciality chemicals supplier Yasho Industries Ltd has announced plans to expand production capacity for the manufacture of lubricant additives and rubber chemicals.
The company is investing INR3.5 billion (€41 million) in its existing facility in Dahej, in the western Indian state of Gujarat to add 15.5 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) of capacity in the first phase of the project.
Set for completion in 24 months, the expansion project will bring the total output of the plant to 26.5 ktpa, Yasho announced 16 March.
The project will raise the facility’s revenue potential by INR5 billion to INR5.5 billion, it added.
“The demand for lubricant additives and rubber chemicals is increasing globally,” said Parag Jhaveri, managing director & CEO.
The company, he went on to say, foresees “a reasonable demand” for its products in the market.
