Fredrik Alpner to lead at company’s existing plant in Åsensbruk and planned facility in Uddevalla
Stockholm – Scandinavian Enviro Systems has appointed Fredrik Alpner as the site manager for the company’s existing plant in Åsensbruk and planned facility in Uddevalla, Sweden.
Alpner has a “long-standing background” as production manager in the processing industry and will contribute to the industrialisation and commercialisation of Enviro’s waste tire pyrolysis technology, said Enviro 24 Jan.
The Swedish end-of-life tire (ELT) recycler said the “strategic recruitment” was being made amid ‘an intense phase of scaling up’, which includes the construction of its first full-scale plant in Chile in partnership with Michelin.
As previously reported by ERJ, Enviro also plans to establish recycling capacity of a total of 900,000 tonnes of ELTs by 2030.
Most recently, in November last year, the disclosed plans to establish a full-scale recycling plant in Uddevalla.
Central to both the industrialisation and expansion plans will be the establishment of “an efficient production and process” at factories, Enviro said.
Alpner, with previous experience as production and site manager for chemicals producer Grace Catalyst, is expected to deliver that.
“Fredrik Alpner… has exactly the experience and expertise that are critical to this very phase that Enviro is now experiencing,” said Thomas Sörensson, CEO of Enviro.
Alpner will take office in mid-April and will initially work as the site manager of Enviro’s existing demo plant in Åsensbruk.
It is then planned that he will assume responsibility for the future plant in Uddevalla in the role of site manager.
