Michelin, Pirelli, Conti among top tire makers participating in-person expo
Cologne, Germany – Tire Cologne 2022 will take place 24-26 May as previously planned, with a number of key tire makers as confirmed participants, according to the organisers.
“Trade fairs are incredibly important right now for getting the various industries back up and running – as a catalyst and driving force,” said Oliver Frese, CEO Koelnmesse in a 26 Jan online press conference.
Also delivering a live statement, Anish Taneja, president and CEO of Michelin Europe North, confirmed that the major tire maker will be attending the Cologne event.
“The Tire Cologne is the most important networking trade fair for our B2B business in the Europe North region and beyond,” he said.
“We are particularly looking forward to fruitful talks with our fleet customers and to the possibility of establishing contacts face to face again,” Taneja added.
According to the organisers, around 300 companies and brands from more than 30 countries are currently expected to present at the event.
In addition to Michelin, other tire makers including Continental, Falken, Hankook and Pirelli, have registered for the show, said Ingo Riedeberger, director of Tire Cologne.
“Big names”, he went on to say, are also expected in the services and workshop segments, as well as retreading.
Along with the physical event, the show is also providing digital content on its TTC @home platform.
“Curated content from the ‘tire stage’ is streamed live and can be accessed as video on demand even after the trade fair closes,” explained Riedeberger.
The show also features “boulevard of sustainability” which will put the spotlight on the tires’ sustainable lifecycle.
