Bridgestone Australia faces estimated €32 million tax bill
Bridgestone Australia is disputing a tax assessment of up to $Aus 52 million (€32 million), related to unpaid taxes and interest over a sale-and-leaseback property deal struck in 1990. The company reported net profits of $Aus163 million in 2002, and is 60 percent owned by Bridgestone Corp. of Japan.
