Kwik-Fit may sell Irish tyre stores to Bridgestone
CVC Capital partners, owner of the Kwik-Fit vehicle repair company, is reportedly negotiating the sale of Kwik-Fit's Irish unit. Bridgestone Corp. is reported to be carrying out a due diligence study of the Dublin-based unit, according to the Irish Independent newspaper. Kwik-Fit is expected to seek a stock market flotation, but the Irish outlets are not expected to be part of the deal, and staff at Kwik-Fit Ireland's Dublin headquarters have been told that the company will be sold, according to the report.
A spokesman for Bridgestone told ERJ that the company does not comment on press speculation, and declined to either confirm or deny the story.
