Wacker Silicones opens “web shop”

Munich, Germany-Wacker Group has launched a web-based ordering service-https://buyonline.wacker.com-for its global silicones business, which will provide individualised product, price and delivery support. Wacker Silicones customers will also be able to contact company experts with questions on products, applications and other topics, the Munich-based group announced 19 July.

“The web shop offers our customers an even broader range of services, thereby enhancing our competitive edge,” states Bernd Judas, head of E-Business at Wacker Silicone. The facility “is designed to provide customers with tangible added value,” he added.

For the last 18 months, Wacker said it has been offering its customers the use of ELEMICA, an e-business platform for the raw materials sector. The group also operates extranet data and information exchange with customers and partners.
