Bridgestone to increase European capacity
4 Jan 2005 by Evoluted New Media
London--Bridgestone is reviewing its European operations, and expects to increase tyre-building capacity in the region, according to an interview in the Financial Times dated 3 Jan.
The article is based on an interview with Bridgestone Europe's chairman and chief executive, Minekazu Fujimura, who is quoted saying, "We are undertaking a study of what might be built and where." The company is likely to put any new capacity in the central/Eastern Europe region, rather than western Europe, says the article.
