China Energy & Carbon Black Holdings raises profile

Hong Kong--China Energy & Carbon Black Holdings, Inc. produces natural gas and makes carbon black from the gas. The company does not say whether this is thermal black normally made from natural gas, but adds that it is widely used in tyres, mentioning two large tyre makers as customers.

In a statement, the company said, "Carbon black is widely used in tire making, road building and steel manufacturing in China. The quality of natural gas carbon black is superior to that of tar carbon black. Its carbon black customers include Hongzhou Chong Che Tire Company and Gui Zhou Guiyang Tires -- two of the largest tire manufacturers in China."
