Fire at Dannenberg destroys ContiTech production Hall
Dannenberg, Germany--A fire at the Contitech plant here in Dannenberg reportedly destroyed a total of around 1000-m2 of the factory, including one complete manufacturing hall and a test lab. The fire started early on Saturday morning. No-one was hurt in the incident, though 300 firefighters attended the blaze.
A statement from Conti said the factory made toothed belts and bellows for the auto sector, but that production would not be significantly affected, as operations could be transferred to unaffected parts of the Dannenberg site.
