Trelleborg acquires special seals distributor in India 

Through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, Trelleborg has acquired the sealing operations of the Indian distribution company Rollon

Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. These operations represent Rollon's principal area of

business.

Rollon is one of India's leading seals distributors with sales throughout

the country. Its head office, technical support and a distribution center

are located in Bangalore, in southern India. Rollon has approximately 30

employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 25 M. The majority of

Rollon's sales involve products manufactured by Trelleborg Sealing

Solutions.

"The acquisition represents a stage in strengthening our presence in Asia

and extending our cultivation of that market," says Claus Barsøe, Business

Area President for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. "India is one of a number

of countries with highly favorable potential for growth and Rollon will now

provide us with increased coverage there."

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions already has a plant in Bangalore for the

production of Turcon® seals. With this acquisition, Trelleborg Sealing

Solutions will, through its marketing companies, cover the principal Asian

markets, with offices in India, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong

Kong and Southeast Asia.
