Airboss confirms up new factory in North Carolina

Newmarket, Ontario--AirBoss of America Corp. of Newmarket, Ontario, said it has reached agreement with the town of Scotland Neck, North Carolina, to lease a manufacturing facility for the production of high-quality, rubber-based compounds for selected industrial markets
In a statement, Airboss said, "The two-phase expansion program will see the installation of equipment with a capacity of up to 100 million pounds (45 000 tonnes) annually being installed over the next three years. Initial production should commence in the first quarter of 2006. Employment, in what will be a 'State of the Art' facility, will likely exceed 85 people at completion. Debt financing has already been negotiated to support the $10 million investment requirement. "
