Anhui, China – Anhui HeDing Tires Technology produced the first tire on its four million tire/year high-performance steel-belted radial tire line on 29 July.
According to the company, the new facility, located at the Huaiyuan Economic Development Zone in Bengbu, Anhui province, started construction in April 2013 with a 900 million Yuan (€111 million) investment.
This is the first phase of a 12 million tire/year project with a total investment of two billion Yuan (€247 million) earmarked. The timeline of the second and third phases is yet to be set, said the company.
The whole project, when completed, is expected to bring in 300 million Yuan (€37 million) profit on four billion Yuan (€494 million) annual production value.
