Flexsys expands Crystex capacity
Nienburg, Germany--Flexsys is increasing capacity for its Crystex insoluble sulphur at its Nienburg, Germany, facility. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of the first half of 2007. Crystex is an insoluble form of sulphur that is used in the vulcanisation of tyres and other rubber products.
Flexsys' Crystex Business Director, Tim Wessel, explained: “In order to meet the growing market demand for insoluble sulphur, we will be significantly expanding Crystex production capability at our Nienburg facility. At the same time, we will use this as an opportunity to modernise operations and improve efficiency. The investment reflects our commitment to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of quality product to our customer base.â€
