Icon Polymer to restructure operations
Retford, UK -- Following the acquisition of former BTR unit, Silvertown Group, Icon Polymer has announced a new structure to emphasise sales.
The company is investing £1 million in a new vibration control division, to be called Icon Silentbloc. This unit willl initially employ 75 for the manufacture of the former BTR Silentbloc anti-vibration products. The company said in a statement that further job opportunities will be created through sales growth.
Icon is moving the manufacture of all other Silvertown products to its Retford headquarters. Icon said this will result in job losses in Burton-on-Trent, but secures the jobs of 300 Icon employees in Retford.
