Titan Chemical signs Butadiene contract with Korea Kumho Petrochemical
Kuala Lumpur -- Malaysia's largest producer of petrochemicals has signed a 5-year contract to supply butadiene to Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co., commencing 2007.
The supply "will originate from a new 100 ktpa plant to convert mixed C4 by-product streams into a value-added derivative used to make synthetic rubber," said a statement from Titan. Titan said the contract uses about half the output from the new plant and is worth around $145 million in total
