HF acquires Coperion's universal mixer business
ERJ staff report (BC)
Freudenberg, Germany – Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH (HF), has taken over the universal mixer business of Coperion GmbH of Stuttgart. /p>
Coperion and HF’s predecessor companies were both part of the Werner & Pfleiderer (WF) group. Werner & Pfleiderer invented the universal mixer technology more than 130 years ago, and was the world market leader for several decades, according to HF. /p>
Universal mixers differ from internal mixers in their more flexible design, says HF. They are used mainly for products of medium and low viscosity, with considerably lower purchase and operational costs than internal mixers. /p>
HF mixing group’s Advise control and automation system is an optional fitment.
