Chemtura re-starts two out of three EPDM units

Middlebury, Connecticut -- Chemtura Corporation has restarted two of its three EPDM production units at its Geismar, Louisiana facility. The two units were shut down as a precaution following a fire Oct. 19 in an isolated section of the third EPDM production unit.

A thorough overview of the two unaffected units was conducted before they were restarted.

The third unit is expected to resume production by early December.
