Hindustan Latex writes cheque to Indian government

New Delhi, India -- Managing Director of Hindustan Latex Ltd. .M.Ayyappan has handed over a cheque for Rs.3.62 crore (Euro 662 000) as dividend for the year 2004-05 to the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr.Anbumani Ramadoss. The dividend amounts to 23.3 per cent of the paid up capital of the public sector undertaking.

The turnover of Hindustan Latex during the period was Rs.194.31 crore, 20 per cent higher than the previous year. The profit for the period was Rs.33.72 crore (Euro 35.6 million) against Rs.29.48 crore in the previous year. The Hindustan Latex achieved an all time record by producing 926 million condoms during the year, against 856 million pieces a year earlier.
