Lanxess improves process control at CR factory
Leverkusen, Germany -- Lanxess opened a new central control building for polychloroprene rubber (CR) in Dormagen on 13 Dec., 2005. In a statement, the company said, "The parallel implementation of a state-of-the-art process control system will further advance product quality and allows the combination of different process areas. The new control building should help to strengthen and expand LANXESS's top global position in polychloroprene production."
The company continued, "â€By 2008 we aim to reduce fixed costs significantly and, at the same time, increase production volumes. With this new control building we shall be in an even better position to meet the needs of our customers effectively,†says Ingo Fischer, Head of Global Product Management for CR at Lanxess's Technical Rubber Products Business Unit.
