Amtel cfo quits to head Moscow office of N M Rothschild
Moscow - Victor Nekrassov, previously chief financial officer at Amtel-Vredestein, has joined N M Rothschild to head its Moscow office.
Amtel-Vredestein announced in December that he was leaving, but declined to give any details about his replacement. An Amtel-Vredestein spokeswoman said she would issue a statement later today (25 Jan), but did not say what the statement would contain.
In December, A-V's ceo Alexey Gurin said, "Victor has done an outstanding job and has built a great financial team. We have also inherited a very experienced team through our acquisition of Vredestein Banden earlier this year. So the new cfo will be stepping into some very comfortable shoes."
Nekrassov has a history of working in the banking sector. Before 1993 he worked in Paris at Credit Lyonnais Bank, then occupied different positions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He joined Amtel in 2004 and oversaw the merger with Vredestein and flotation on the London stock exchange.
