Apollo raises funds for possible acquisitions
Mumbai, India - Apollo Tyres plans to raise Rs 4500 million (Euro 82 million) from a share issue in Indian and/or international markets. The company said it aims to use the cash to fund its global acquisitions and capital expenditure programmes, but did not give any details of the specific stock vehicle that will be used.
A spokeswoman for Apollo confirmed the story and said the company is always looking at its options in terms of acquisitions, but declined to give any further details.
