Leverkusen - Lanxess Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business unit has increased prices in the European market for its nitrile rubbers (NBR) Krynac and Perbunan and for Buna EP (EPDM) effective April 1, 2006. Prices for the American market were also increased in March/April 2006.
The price increases were as follows: for standard-grade NBR up to EUR 120 /
USD 145 per tonne, for special grades up to EUR 180 / USD 220 per
tonne and for EPDM EUR 100 / USD 176 per tonne.
The Technical Rubber Products business unit belongs to the Performance Rubber segment, which achieved total sales of EUR 1.678 billion in fiscal 2005.
