Goodyear builds hose plant in Moravia
Prague - Goodyear Engineered Products is building a new hose plant in Moravia, Czech Republic. Goodyear will produce car and industrial hoses in the plant, with initial production beginning later this month, according to David Da Silva of Goodyear speqking at a press conference in Prague. He said the unit will operate on single shift production and be running fully one shift operation. The company wants to be running at full capacity before the end of the year and employ some 50 staff.
The company said total investment in the unit is about Euro 2 million. The factory is located in the Ostrava-Hrabova industrial zone, close to car factories operated by KIA and Hyundai.
