Toledo, Ohio -Â Owens Corning has completed its acquisition of the composites business of the Asahi Fiber Glass Co., Ltd. in Japan, previously announced on December 8, 2005. Terms were not disclosed. This acquisition, said owens Corning, marks an increased commitment to the Japanese market.
Among other things, the acquired unit makes rubber-coated glass-fibre solutions used in engine timing belts for the automotive industry.
