Chemtura names head of EPDM, rubber chemicals business
Middlebury, Connecticut - Chemtura Corp. has appointed Robert Wedinger as vice president and general manager of Process Chemicals and Polymers. His responsibilities will include the Royalene EPDM and Rubber Chemicals portfolio.
Chemtura Chairman and CEO Robert Wood made the announcement: "Dr. Wedinger is an accomplished senior executive with two decades of experience in technology and business leadership. He has a strong track record of global business transformation through strategy development, operational excellence, organisational improvement, and integration of acquisitions. He has consistently achieved double-digit profit growth in international divisions of large public and private companies, through a hands-on, customer-focused leadership style."
Dr. Wedinger comes to Chemtura from JM Huber Corp. in Maryland, a private diversified manufacturer, where he served as vice president and general manager of two major business units: the performance materials business and the consumer products business.
His previous positions include vice president and general manager of pharmaceutical fine chemicals for Honeywell International (AlliedSignal) in New Jersey, where he led a major restructuring, and as director of research and development of fluorine products.
