Former Goodyear man, Hugh Pace takes over at Rapra
Shropshire, UK - Rapra Technology has appointed former Goodyear executive and US national, Hugh Pace as vice president and managing director, effective immediately.
Pace succeeds Andrew Ward, who, according to Smithers, left the company "to pursue other interests." Rapra Technology became a wholly owned subsidiary of the US-based independent testing, consulting and contract research organisation, The Smithers Group, in April this year, when it was bought following a period of Administration.
Pace joins Rapra from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he has spent a 30-year career in senior positions including holding the posts of President of Goodyear in the Asia Pacific Region, Mexico and Argentina. His career is hallmarked by major organisational restructuring and marketing initiatives.
Pace holds an MBA from Thunderbird - the American Graduate School of International Management and a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He will live in Shropshire.
