Berstorff plans to improve services in Russia
Hannover, Germany -Â Berstorff AG has established a new subsidiary in Russia to supply sales and service functions to its customers there. The company, named BKM O.O.O, is a joint operation with sister company, Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik. Berstorff has had a sales and service unit in Moscow since 2001, after withdrawing from the region after the collapse of the former Soviet economy in the early 1990s.
With the foundation of a joint subsidiary, both companies intend to extend and improve the range of services for their customers in Russia and the neighbouring states. BKM will concentrate on services, like assembly and commissioning as well as modernisation and repairs. An own spare parts stock shall be installed at a future date.
Dieter Brunner, CEO of BKM. said, "Our intention is to offer the best possible service on site to our customers in Russia and the other countries of the CIS."
