Inventor suggest LCD pressure readout on tyres
Huddersfield UK - A UK-based inventor has come up with an idea to display the pressure within a tyre. John Wrightson, a product designer based in the Teeside, UK, developed the idea, which has been picked up by a number of design-oriented websites.
The valve cap is aimed principally at bicycle tyres, as Wrightson is a keen mountain biker, but could be adapted to other applications. The display is energised only when a button is pushed and relies on a button battery for power. Wrightson does not address issues of weight, balancing or theft in his drawings.
