Stamford Tyres net profit jumps 80 percent to new record
Singapore - Stamford Tyres Ltd, the Singapore-based tyre and wheel wholesaler, recorded sales up 32 percent, to Sing$235.2 million (€126 million) for the 12 months to December 2006. Pre-tax profit jumped 70percent to S$19.7 million, compared with S$11.6 million a year ago
In its statement to shareholders, the company said, "Major contributions to our revenue growth came from continued organic growth in the distribution of our major brands - Falken, Dunlop and Continental, as well as increased revenue from our proprietary brands- Sumo Firenza tyres, Sumo Tire and SSW wheels."
