Tecno Compounds upgrading mixers
Nuremberg, Germany - Tecno Compounds, the specialist compounder based in Siziano, Italy, is upgrading its four mixing lines. The company will upgrade one line in each of the next four years, said Umberto Montuoro, head of sales at the company.
Montuoro said the company has four lines altogether, three used for black compounds and one for coloured recipes. The first line is being upgraded this year and will involve a new chamber and new rotors for the K7 intermeshing mixer. Two more K7 units will follow and the fourth line, a K11D tangential mixer will get the same treatment.
Tecno Compounds has strong sales into the cable industry. Montuoro said around 20 percent of all sales come from sales to the electrical sector. These compounds tend to be sold as granules, so the company is adding a second pelletising line to double capacity for that application, he said.
