Bridgestone to close Oklahoma City tyre plant

Nashville, Tennessee - Following the breakdown of talks with the Unions, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC said it has decided to close its Oklahoma City tyre plant by the end of the year. The company signalled the decision with its earnings statement a month ago.

The plant employs 1400 and makes mid- and low-performance radials for cars and light trucks, said the company.
