Kraton to boost European production by April 2007
Houston, Texas - Kraton Polymers LLC will increase production capability for unhydrogenated styrenic block copolymers (USBC) by 20 ktpa at its European plants by April next year.
The company claimed in a statement that the increase at its facilities in Germany, Netherlands and France was in response to rising demand from customers and to ensure enough capacity for future growth.
''We continue to generate significant USBC capacity gains through low cost de-bottlenecks,'' Kraton vice president of global operations David Bradley said.
''The successful incorporation of Lean Six Sigma techniques into our operations, coupled with our ability to leverage knowledge across our manufacturing facilities around the world has proven to be a powerful combination.''
