Nokian Tyres to integrate heavy tires and truck tires business units

Nokia, Finland – Nokian Tyres will integrate its heavy tires and truck tires profit centres and form a new commercial tires profit centre as of 1 January 2014.
The company qotes combined net sales for the two profit centres as approximately €150m million in 2012. They employ about 280 people in Nokia, Finland. The integration of is not expected to impact personnel immediately.
Kim Gran, president and CEO of Nokian Tyres, said: “The integration of two small business units’ resources, operations and management gives us a better chance to develop operations and improve sales. In addition, the synergies of the integration [will] clearly improve profitability.”
